TowPro expands into the US market

TowPro, the new standard in tender towing, has appointed Ft. Lauderdale-based National Marine Suppliers, the leading worldwide superyacht support provider, to retail the TowPro product in the US market.

“We are very pleased to have the TowPro on our product list,” said Sam Powell, Sales Manager at National Marine. “There is nothing else like it in the market and it addresses a very real need. TowPro is a natural product for us to carry as part of our recommended Tender Towing Package which includes bridles and eyes, towing ropes, larger bilge pumps and more. We are confident it will be a very welcome addition for our customers and the superyacht community as a whole.”

“We are very pleased to have partnered with National Marine Suppliers,” added Vincent Geake, founder of TSM Systems, the developer and manufacturer of TowPro. “Having TowPro available and supported via a company with the pedigree of NMS gives us a great base for our US customers, many of whom already deal with NMS.”

TowPro systems are available from National Marine for immediate shipping and the members of their network of marine electronics installers will be happy to undertake installations if required.

Developed in collaboration with maritime insurers, captains and electronics installers, installing TowPro both reduces the risks insurers and superyacht captains are exposed to when towing tenders and consequently captains can benefit from a potential reduction of both deductibles and some of the operational restrictions insurers currently impose – for example towing by night. Launched in 2021, TowPro monitors key condition indicators onboard the unmanned tender such as bilge water levels, bilge pump activity, battery levels pitch/roll and yaw.  With “Eyes in the Boat” the bridge monitor gives advanced audible and visual warning of potential problems that cannot be detected by eye from the yacht either by day or night. enabling the crew to take immediate preventative action. In the event of the tow breaking, a range of actions are immediately triggered to alert both the yacht, other vessels in the area, and to locate the drifting tender on a global tracking website.

TowPro will be on show to the marine equipment industry for the first time at METSTRADE 2021 in Amsterdam (16-18 November) on stand 07.609A. For more information on TowPro and how to buy it in the USA go to www.tsm-systems.com and https://nationalmarine.com/

TowPro

The TowPro system was designed and developed in response to the Superyacht industry demands for a solution to the problem, towing tenders safely and with confidence. In close collaboration with the superyacht industry, founder & CEO Vincent Geake and his team developed TowPro to give yacht crews “eyes in the boat” in all conditions, thereby keeping captains aware of any emerging issues, day and night, and so preventing losses, reducing insurance claims, and allowing leading insurers to reduce towing restrictions whilst providing captains with the operational flexibility they require.
